Christmas for a Cause is a free walk-through Christmas light display that will be located at Peoples Bank in Sioux Center. The display will run from Friday, November 25, 2022, until Monday, January 2, 2023, from 5:00-10:00 PM each night.
“Part of our core values at Peoples Bank is to, ‘enrich families and communities’, and this event truly embraces that,” said Peoples Bank Sioux Center President Dale Vander Berg. “This is a free family-friendly walk-through event where everyone can enjoy the Christmas light displays and have an opportunity to support Katelyn’s Fund.”
Katelyn’s Fund helps to bring orphan awareness to others, provide emotional and prayer support to families, and assist Christian families with the high costs of adoptions. The organization also supports One Vision orphanage and schools in Haiti. Schools include primary school pre-k through grade 6 and secondary school through grade 13. Katelyn’s Fund is solely responsible for their monthly provision and care, not only the children living at One Vision but also opening the schools to kids in the community for education and sharing the Gospel. You can learn more about all that Katelyn’s Fund does at katelynsfund.org(Opens in a new Window).
“We are so honored that Peoples Bank has chosen to partner with Katelyn’s Fund in this way,” says Katelyn’s Fund Founder Sheila De Jong.
“I appreciate the dual purpose of Christmas for a Cause,” continued De Jong. “It’s an event that brings families together, and it also brings awareness to those in great need. God continues to bring people and businesses to partner with us, and we are so grateful!”
Last year was the first year for the event which brought around 5,000 people, and there will be even more light displays to be enjoyed this year!
