March 6, 2026

Diego Castelan, Retail Banker at Peoples Bank in Sioux Center, and Stacie Smith, Personal Banker at Peoples Bank in Jasper, were recently recognized by the Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) for graduating from the IBA’s Consumer Credit School. They completed the week-long school on March 6 alongside 28 other graduates. The school aims to prepare consumer credit personnel who want to broaden their consumer credit knowledge to serve effectively and profitably as consumer credit officers.

“IBA Consumer Credit School was a great opportunity to network with fellow bankers from all different levels of experience,” says Castelan. “The value I gained in this course was having access to teachers/speakers with an abundance of knowledge in our industry.”

"IBA Consumer Credit School gave me the opportunity to focus, deepen, and develop my understanding of consumer lending and further myself in areas I’ve set goals to achieve in," Smith added.
