Wealth Management Group Administrative Assistant Job Description

Position Title: Wealth Management Group Administrative Assistant
Reports To: Senior Wealth Management Group Officer
Classification: Non-Exempt

Scope 

The Wealth Management Group Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Senior Wealth Management Group Officer and is responsible for assisting the WMG with management of daily activities. Provides support in the WMG department’s administrative duties for Peoples Bank database.


Accountabilities

Administration: 60%

  • Provide administrative support to Trust Officers.
  • Assist with new account set up on system.
  • Assist with client account reviews, annual account distributions and final account distributions.
  • Prepare Annual Conservatorship reports for the court.
  • Monitor movement and control of securities including movement in and out of the vault. This includes examining securities deposited for safekeeping, verifying descriptions and signatures, and filing securities according to customer names and account numbers.

WMG Services: 25%

  • Responsible for written and electronic correspondence with clients and vendors.
  • Assist with marketing of WMG services to clients and prospective clients as needed.
  • Greet customers as they come into the WMG Department or via the telephone and make
    them feel welcome.
  • Prepare various IRA forms, RMD notifications, withholding notices, distributions. Assist
    with updating 401(K) or Pension Plan Forms.

Other: 15%

  • As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

concise manner, both orally and in written form to a variety of audiences and to all levels of
staff.

Education and Special Requirements

  • Two-year degree in business related field or two to three years of related experience.
  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes communications skills, computer skills such as, but not limited to, Word and Excel as
    well as utilization of typical office equipment.
